Everything here is great. From the delicious American breakfast menu items to its attentive welcoming service. I wish this place was a little bigger as it's very cozy inside. Be aware this place gets PACKED on the weekends, but well worth the wait! I've ordered pick up, delivery(thru delivery apps), & dined in several times, here's my go to favorites: cheesecake crepes, des plaines breakfast, the cream of chicken & rice soup, & the skirt steak with 2 eggs.
The quantity of the food was incredible! All six of us went for their popular breakfast dishes and it was all worth it! Try their pancakes and nutella crepes as sides. We loved their ambience and the service. The waitress were super friendly and kind. It was a great experience!!
Very local feel, straight forward food, nothing fancy, but taste great. We love it. Bathrooms are clean! Love that they play the radio in the restaurant. I always get their skillets and their simple breakfasts are always classic. Our daughter loves their Chocolate Chippy pancakes or Mickey mouse pancakes they're very good with asking if you'd like more coffee. Workers are always so friendly.
Took a little detour off of the Tri-State to have some brunch here this past October on our way to a farmers' market in South Barrington. Just like quite a few brunch restaurants I've been to out in the 'burbs, just good ol' home cooking at reasonable prices in a cozy space with friendly service. Good all-around American-Mexican eats that I would definitely stop back in for if ever in the area again, we live up in Beach Park. Wish for continued boomin' business for the owner(s).
Had to try this place so close to where I live . The lot is always full on the weekends and for breakfast. I wanted to try it for lunch since I think they have the breakfast down to a fine art. I had the chicken avocado club and it was really good . Crispy bacon and presented very well. Came with soup and another side. I could only eat 1/2 of the sandwich after having potato soup and cottage cheese. So I was able to box it up for dinner tonight. Portions are good sized -bring your appetite or u will need a box. Place was clean, food was fresh and fast, and service was super friendly and with a smile to boot !! Lots of lunches were going out the door and it looked like lots of regular customers were coming in. So you can’t go wrong, breakfast or lunch this is a great local restaurant !! Only open till 3 so get in before then! For sure I’ll be back!!
Ordered their crepes. Soooo good! Didn't even need powder sugar or syrup! They have a hint of cinnamon in the flavor and I loved it. Husband enjoyed his taco omelette. Great place to enjoy coffee and brunch.
Reasonable prices, excellent service. I had breakfast, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Highly recommended
I’m in a wheelchair and these people were so amazingly friendly and helpful and made sure I had a convenient table for me to go and enjoy my breakfast with my friend. The service was phenomenal. The food was off the charts. I personally do not like pancakes and that’s just me, but I don’t know what it is about their pancakes, but we ordered them as part of our breakfast and they were so good. I had a ham omelette because I’ve always loved ham off the bone and I had the best hashbrowns and they always ask you whether or not you want them crispy, which is great because that’s the way I like them and both waitresses who have been there for years. I’ve been absolutely fantastic. Wonderful people great food. I’m so glad I don’t live far away because I’m going to regularly come here. My friend ordered the skirt steak, which was so tasty and her scrambled eggs were delicious everything the entire meal was so good. We spent so much time looking at the menu because you have so many choices for breakfast. It’s really difficult to pick which one they have so many delicious choices that’s why I’m going to have to go back and try each one that I had seen that I didn’t choose This particular visit. I really recommend it very much. It’s a great place and wonderful people and great food. Another fine breakfast at the best breakfast place in Des Plaines.
